Alpinestars Tech-Air® 10
The Tech-Air® 10 is a slim, self-contained Airbag system designed to be worn as a base under any Alpinestars Tech-Air Ready and Tech-Air compatible Leather suite, or other third-party leather suites, keep in mind that with third-party suites, you need to have about 4 cm of space around the circumference of the chest and 2 cm of space around the circumference of the driver's hips.
The extra chest and hip space is necessary to accommodate when the airbag deploys in a crash.

The state-of-the-art Tech-Air 10 system has 12 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers plus 1 gyroscope) to continuously monitor your position.
An algorithm developed with MotoGP riders and Alpinestars customers, data from millions of kilometers and over thousands of lab-simulated crash scenarios determines when and how the system triggers.
The airbag has a maximum inflation time of up to 40ms (or less, depending on size).
The impact absorption when wearing the Airbag results in a reduction of the impact force by up to 95%  equivalent to 16 back protectors compared to a passive protector.
The inflation time is fast enough to trigger the airbag before the driver's first collision with an obstacle.

The airbag has a battery life for 24 hours of driving time on a single charge, and an LED system status display on the belt.
The Tech-Air® 10 has Bluetooth connectivity and can be paired with the Tech-Air app, via the phone display the system's operating status, battery status and provide detailed analysis of a ride.

Software updates are also managed via the app. Alpinestars includes a micro USB charger for quick charging.
