Alpinestars Tech-Air® 5 is a slim, standalone airbag vest worn under a jacket. It fits any properly sized textile jacket and leather jackets with at least 4 cm of extra chest room. The vest protects the shoulders, chest, ribs, and full back, including the collarbones – critical areas in road accidents.

The system features 6 integrated sensors (3 gyroscopes, 3 accelerometers) and an AI-powered crash detection algorithm developed from millions of kilometers of riding data. The airbag deploys in 20–40 milliseconds, reducing impact force by up to 95%, equivalent to 18 CE Level 1 back protectors.

Tech-Air® 5 connects via Bluetooth to the Tech-Air® app, which displays system status, battery level, and ride analytics. The certified lithium-ion battery provides up to 30 hours of riding time and charges via magnetic USB cable. An LED display shows operational status.
